The password isn’t stored on the server, so it can’t be recovered. Without it, no one can open the file — including you.

How secure is the protection?

AES-256 encryption is used: without the password, the file’s contents can’t be read. Security depends on the password — use at least 10 characters with letters and numbers.

Can a forgotten password be recovered?

No. The password isn’t stored on the server, so it can’t be recovered and the file can’t be opened without it.

Can I file a protected file with a court?

No, court filing rules require unprotected files. Protect copies you send to others, not files for filing.
