How to convert PDF to Word

Select a file — the service detects the page structure (paragraphs, tables, columns, images) and builds a .docx document that opens in Microsoft Word, LibreOffice, and MyOffice.

If the PDF is a scan

Scans have no text layer, so use the “OCR PDF” tool for them: it recognizes Russian and English text and produces a Word document.

Modes that don’t upload to the server

The “Exact page copy” and “Text only” modes work right in your browser: the file isn’t sent anywhere.

FAQ

Will the formatting be preserved?

In “Keep layout” mode, paragraphs, tables, columns, images, and fonts are restored. Complex documents with overlays on top of images and tables drawn with lines may need touch-ups in Word.

Can I convert a scan to Word?

Yes. If the file has no text layer, the service automatically recognizes the text and builds a document with paragraphs, alignment, and bold. For custom recognition settings, use “OCR PDF”.

What file size can I upload?

Up to 30 MB and up to 100 pages in “Keep layout” mode. Scans are converted up to 30 pages at a time — set the range in the “Pages” field. The “Exact page copy” and “Text only” modes work in the browser, with a 100 MB limit.

Which program opens the result?

The .docx file opens in Microsoft Word, LibreOffice, MyOffice, R7-Office, Google Docs, and mobile editors.
